How to join: Clubs and Individuals

Clubs

As of May 2024 TNZ voted in a new membership system for clubs at its AGM. As a result on January 1st, 2025, TNZ will adopt a new Club registration database for it’s management and administration of taekwondo Clubs in New Zealand. This register/database is independent of the World Taekwondo Global Management System (WT GMS) database.

As part of this registration process, Club Instructors are asked to register their clubs with Taekwondo New Zealand as either a Gold ($400 annual fee), Silver ($200 annual fee) or Bronze ($0 annual fee). Clubs choosing not to register with Taekwondo New Zealand will be removed from the TNZ register/database, but not from the WT GMS.

For those that missed the TNZ Zoom meeting discussing what the change mean for your club click on the image above to view a recording of the meeting (17 min video)

The funds generated by this process will be invested into the development of taekwondo in New Zealand. Investment will take the form of education, equipment purchase and any other activity deemed by the Taekwondo New Zealand Board to be in the interest of development of taekwondo.

To register your club click on the button below to accesss a PDF form to fill out. Once you have filled out the form hit submit and your application will be sent to our Club membership administrator.
